To say there is a Hydroxycut product for every day of the week would not strictly be true.
There are only seven days in a week and, last count, the Hydroxycut product line consisted of 14 products that range from pills and gummies to shakes and sprinkles.
If the name is any indication Hydroxycut Advanced must be the latest and greatest addition to the range, but very little information is provided about the product or how it is supposed to work.
Hydroxycut Advanced is produced in “rapid release” caplet form. This suggests a fast-acting formula, and mention is made of primary ingredient, but the name of this crucial ingredient is not provided. The fact that such important information is not provided does little to sell the benefits of the product, but in an undisclosed test, subjects who were given the mystery ingredient supposedly lost more weight than the members of the placebo group. A second mystery ingredient has been included specifically to help support the metabolism, burn calories and boost energy levels.

Whenever a blend contains copious amount of ingredients, as is the case here, it can only increase the likelihood that individual users will encounter an ingredient they are allergic to. In a complicated blend such as this there is also a danger that the potential of important ingredients may be overly diluted.
Looking at the above formulation it seems probable the main ingredient is glucomannan. This is a natural product sourced from the roots of an Asian plant. It is fibrous in nature and has the ability to suck up large quantities of water. As the water fills the fibres they expand in the stomach, making it feel full.
Prickly pear (derived from a species of cactus) is also known to provide appetite suppression so between them the two ingredients should, in theory, have the ability to reduce the daily calorie intake. If the calorie intake is reduced significantly the body will require more calories to maintain normal function and will automatically begin burning body fat to obtain the energy it needs.
But what of the unnamed ingredient chosen to boost the metabolism, burn calories provide extra energy? It seems likely that this will be the (Robusta) coffee extract. Green coffee beans are rich in chlorogenic acid—a compound that has been proven to offer all the aforementioned benefits.
How to Take Hydroxycut Advanced – Hydroxycut Advanced caplets should be taken with water, twice a day, 30 to 60 minutes before eating the two largest meals of the day (usually lunch and dinner). Due to the potential for caffeine-related side effects new users are advised to begin with a reduced dosage to assess for tolerance issues.
- Days 1 to 3 — 1 caplet, taken twice a day.
- Day 4 onwards — 2 caplets taken twice each day.
Two caplets should never be exceeded in any 24-hour period and caplets should not be consumed within 5 hours of bedtime. Hydroxycut Advanced users are further advised to drink 8 to 10 glasses of water per day.

Side Effects
Hydroxycut Advanced is not intended for anyone who is under the age of 18 and should never be used by pregnant or breastfeeding mothers. Any potential user who has existing health issues or is taking any form of medication should consult their GP before supplementing their diet with Hydroxycut Advanced.
Each serving of Hydroxycut Advanced provides a similar amount of caffeine to that provided by two cups of coffee, so people who are caffeine-sensitive should also consult a doctor prior to commencing supplementation.
Caffeine induced side effects can include headaches, nausea, jitters, heart palpitations, restlessness and difficulty in sleeping.
Some of the other ingredients are also known to have the potential to cause side effects so any user who feels unwell after taking Hydroxycut Advanced should stop supplementation at once and seek medical advice.
Purchasing Options & Considerations
Hydroxycut Advanced is available from Boots and each pack of 60 rapid release caplets costs £23.99. Hydroxycut Advanced can also be purchased online from a number of different sources, but it strangely absent from the Hydroxycut website.
At the time of this review Boots was the only supplier selling packs of 60 caplets, most of the other suppliers were selling 50 caplet boxes and selling them in pairs with the price of 100 capsules ranging from £19 to £30.
